Principle, Use and Structure of Centrifugal Fan

- Feb 21, 2019-

In principle, the centrifugal fan is based on the principle of converting kinetic energy into potential energy, using high-speed rotating impeller to accelerate the gas, then decelerate, change the direction of flow, so that kinetic energy can be converted into potential energy. Simple understanding, is to rely on the input mechanical energy, to achieve the purpose of increasing gas pressure side by side.

The cross-flow fan flows through the impeller by air flow. Under the action of two blade forces, the air flow can reach a long distance. Therefore, in the cross-flow fan, the air flow will be forced to rotate in the impeller, resulting in greater pressure head loss and lower efficiency.

The former is widely used in ventilation, dust removal and cooling of factories, mines, tunnels, cooling towers, vehicles, ships and buildings; ventilation and induction of boilers and industrial furnaces; cooling and ventilation of air-conditioning equipment and household electrical appliances.

The latter is generally used in air-conditioning hanging machine, air-conditioning fan, wind curtain and other equipment, playing a cooling and cooling, ventilation, constant temperature and drying and other different purposes, but also have good results. In addition, about the structure of centrifugal fan and cross-flow fan, centrifugal fan mainly includes shell, spindle, impeller, bearing transmission mechanism and motor components.
